Leigh-Ann has always had a passion for languages and culture. She began intensive French studies at the age of 12 and spent most summers in France. At the age of 18 she moved to Paris to attend the Sorbonne and to be a nanny, due to her love of children. Eventually she earned a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and International Affairs with a German Minor from the University of Colorado.
As part of her studies of German, she spent a year in Germany at the University of Regensburg. She attended classes with German students and focused on language and history courses. While there, she also participated in a German theater group.
Upon her return to the U.S., she received a Masters of
International Management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management focusing on Western European languages and business. Classes included Marketing and History in French.
Leigh-Ann also received an MBA from the University of Colorado focusing on International Business. After graduation she spent 3 years living and working in London, UK for a start up of Hallmark Cards, Inc.
Leigh-Ann is also trained in the Barton Spelling and Language dyslexia system. She is passionate about helping students learn English and other languages in the manner that suits them. She is currently developing a phonetic way to teach foreign language to dyslexics.
She has owned and opperated Language and Music House since 2017. She teaches here and at Global Montessori in Prairie Village.
